When the energy obtained by the odor molecules in the low-temperature plasma purifier is greater than the binding energy of their molecular bond energy, the chemical bonds of the odor molecules are broken and directly decomposed into single atoms or gas molecules composed of single atoms. At the same time, a large number of active free radicals such as ·OH, ·HO2, ·O and highly oxidizing O3 are generated, which react chemically with gas molecules to form products. Complex large molecular pollutants are converted into simple small molecular substances, or substances are converted into harmless substances, thereby allowing pollutants to be degraded and removed. Low-temperature plasma technology uses a large number of energetic electrons generated by dielectric discharge under the action of an external electric field to bombard pollutant molecules. Firstly, in the process of generating plasma, the instantaneous high-frequency discharge is enough to unlock the chemical energy of some gas molecules, causing them to decompose into single atoms or molecules; secondly, the plasma contains a large number of electrons, positive and negative ions, excited particles and free radicals with strong oxidizing properties. These active particles collide and combine with some odor molecules, and under the action of the electric field, the odor molecules are in an excited state.

Thermal combustion method

At high temperature, malodorous substances are fully mixed with fuel gas to achieve combustion, which is suitable for the purification of high-concentration, small-volume combustible gases. Malodorous substances are oxidized and decomposed, which makes the equipment prone to corrosion, consumes fuel, has high processing costs, and is prone to secondary pollution and catalyst poisoning.

Masking method

A strong aromatic smell is mixed with the odor to mask the odor so that it can be accepted by people. It is suitable for occasions where low-concentration odorous gases need to be affected immediately and temporarily. The odor intensity is about 2.5. Unorganized emission sources can eliminate the odor as soon as possible. It has great flexibility and low cost. The odorous components are not removed, paralyzing the perception of the original pollutants.
