Working principle of LS type screw conveyor:

When the spiral shaft rotates, due to the gravity of the material and the frictional force generated with the groove wall, the material can only move forward along the groove bottom of the conveyor under the push of the blades, as if a nut that cannot rotate moves in translation along a rotating screw. The movement of materials in the middle bearing relies on the thrust of the materials moving forward from behind. So, the transportation of materials in a conveyor is a sliding motion. In order to keep the screw shaft in a favorable tension state, the driving device and discharge port are generally placed at the same end of the conveyor, while the feed port is placed as close to the tail of the other end as possible. The rotating spiral blades push the material for transportation, and the force that prevents the material from rotating together with the spiral conveyor blades is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance of the spiral conveyor housing to the material. The surface shape of the blades varies depending on the type of material being conveyed, including solid surface, belt surface, and blade surface.

The LS type screw conveyor is a new generation screw conveyor improved on the basis of the GX screw conveyor, which increases the passing area of materials, makes the passage of materials smoother, and improves the conveying capacity. The connection between the screw shaft and the hanging bearing of the screw feeder and the head and tail shafts is embedded tongue type, which is easy to install and disassemble, does not require axial movement, and is easy to maintain. It has the characteristics of simple operation, simple maintenance, novel structure, smooth transmission, wide range of use, no material blockage, energy-saving and low noise, and long service life. The spiral feeder has the advantage of solving the problem of conveying dry powder materials such as cement, ore, coal, fertilizer, etc. that are prone to flying and seriously affect the surrounding environment. At the same time, the spiral feeder can also complete mixing, stirring, and cooling operations when conveying materials, and can be applied to unloading or loading various materials, as well as conveying loose particles in warehouses.

The selection of LS type screw conveyor can be determined based on the properties of the conveyed material, conveying capacity, conveying distance, inclination angle, installation environment, etc., to determine the size, screw speed, and power of the screw conveyor. The screw blades on the screw conveyor have two types: right-handed and left-handed. Currently, the horizontal screw feeder considers right-handed screw for conveying materials, or variable pitch technology can be used to improve the conveying capacity and use of the screw conveyor. The inlet and outlet of the screw conveyor can be selected from square and circular, or customized according to on-site requirements.

The screw of LS type screw conveyor has eleven specifications, and there are two driving modes: single end drive and double end drive; The LS type spiral conveyor has a length of 0.5m and can be assembled into corresponding conveying systems according to different site requirements. Like the GX type spiral conveyor, it is used for one-way conveying with horizontal or inclined angles less than 20 °.

Working principle of LS type screw conveyor:

LS type screw conveyor uses a rotating screw to move the conveyed material along a fixed casing for conveying work. The head and tail bearings move outside the casing, and the suspension bearings use sliding bearings with dust-proof sealing devices. The bearing shells are generally made of powder metallurgy, and the conveying cement uses felt bearing shells. The suspension shaft and screw shaft are connected by sliding blocks.

LS type screw conveyor, commonly known as a winch, is applied in various industrial sectors such as building materials, electricity, chemical industry, metallurgy, coal, machinery, light industry, grain and food industry. Suitable for conveying powdery, granular, and small block materials. For example, materials such as cement, coal powder, grain, fertilizer, ash residue, sand, etc., the temperature of the material should not exceed 200 ℃. It is not suitable to transport materials that are prone to deterioration, high viscosity, and easy agglomeration, because these materials will stick to the spiral blades during transportation and rotate without moving forward, or form material blockages at the suspension bearings, which will prevent the screw machine from working properly. But it is allowed to be used slightly tilted, and the tilt angle should not exceed 20 ℃.
